Marko Borys was born and raised in Etobicoke and has been the owner and operator of Living Lighting Etobicoke-Kingsway for 20+ years. As an ALA Certified Lighting Specialist he can recommend a lighting design plan for your home, specializing in landscape lighting & recessed lighting. You can see some of his commercial lighting designs come to life in restaurants around town like Brazen Head Irish Pub and Watermark Irish Pub to name a couple. Marko is hands on, business managing everything from tracking home orders to invoicing to knowing his customers on a first name basis.
Lara Borys is also an Etobicoke native growing up just a few blocks from the showroom. She specializes in lighting consults and spending dedicated time with clients, helping them choose just the right light fixtures for their renovation & redecorating projects. Lara is also content manager for our website, Instagram & Facebook accounts, so make sure to click & follow @livinglighting_etobicoke to stay up to date on lighting trends, lighting inspiration and view some of her completed projects.
Rino is the Assistant Manager and has over 20 years in the lighting industry. Rino will help you source the perfect light fixture for your space be it a chandelier, flush mount, floor lamp or exterior light. Rino also keeps track of your order and will walk you out to your car when you pick it up!
Richard is our resident lightbulb expert with over 25 years in the industry. He has worked in lighting showrooms for the better part of his career. Richard is also our resident lamp repair expert.

Do you make new year's resolutions? I am not usually one to do that on a personal level. But this year I do have a professional goal, and that is to spread more light - both literally & figuratively.
Last year we started working on a fundraiser for Solar Buddy, and my goal this year is to help raise more awareness and funds for this organization who is combatting energy poverty.
Solar Buddy is an organization that has created portable solar powered lights. They have a few styles now and they distribute them to children in energy poor countries who do not have electricity in their homes. This allows them to do homework and chores after the sun sets. They also have Solar powered birthing kits, these include solar powered headlamps and ceiling hung solar powered strip lights to illuminate the spaces where mother's give birth, so they can stop delivering in complete darkness. We will continue to fundraise throughout the year to donate to Solar Buddy and help give the gift of light to children of all ages and their families.
